GRAND CROSS, Race 3, 3rd
James was happy with his run on Friday evening - stepping up in class with a 7-day back-up was never going to be easy but he ran decent race and tried hard. Despite going hard from the start he found the line well which bodes well for the future. Glen (Boss) thinks he won't have an issue running the 1400m. We'll give him a week or so off and try to find a race for him in a month or so.

TASSAJARA, Race 1, 2nd
Happy with his run - it was a good solid effort. Glen (Boss, jockey) gave him a nice ride, he travelled well throughout and he really gave 110% - they ran about a second under standard. Unfortunately we just ran up against a better horse and he should be winning in this grade soon. We're going to try find him a race over 1200m on the polytrack.
JULIUS CAESAR, Race 2, 2nd
Good first-up run in Singapore, it was a decent effort. As we feared before the race the 1100m was a little too sharp for him, he travelled fine but when the race hit the top of the straight he was unprepared; however he fought right to the line. Vlad (Duric, jockey) thinks he feels more like a 1400m horse and we're looking forward to stepping him up in distance. We'll look for a suitable race for him in a few weeks time.
RUSTY BROWN, Race 7, 1st
Obviously really pleased with his run - it was a strong effort. Barend (Vorster, jockey) gave him a nice ride and things worked out well for him - they went hard upfront and it suited Rusty who came from off the speed. He's a much better horse when he can get into clear galloping room which he did on Sunday. He's fine and well after his win and we're looking for a similar 1400m polytrack race for him later in the month.
