First Precinct: winner, Class 4 - 1400m

First Precinct: winner, Class 4 - 1400m

FIRST PRECINCT, Race 3, 1st
James was really pleased with Friday's run; Glen Boss gave him a really nice, patient ride and the blinkers helped sharpen him up. Despite interference at 300m to run, once he got into some clear galloping room he had a good turn of foot. James thinks he'll have no issue over 1600m in the future. He's pulled up fine and is nice and bright around the stable. After this win, he's gone up into Class 3 and we'll be looking for a 1400m or a 1600m race for him in three or four week's time.

MANMADHAN, Race 4, 3rd
This filly is showing improvement every start. Vlad gave her a nice ride and got into a good position and she showed a lot of fire in the home straight to finish off well. We think she could go further - up to 1800m or even 2000m. She's pulled up fine and trotted up without an issue. James thinks she goes better on the turf, and will look for a suitable race for her in a few weeks.

Siam Gemstone: Winner, Restricted Maiden - 1400m

Siam Gemstone: Winner, Restricted Maiden - 1400m

SIAM GEMSTONE, Race 2, 1st
A great performance by Siam Gemstone on Sunday - we're really pleased with his performance, it was a strong effort. He was given a good ride by Vlad (Duric) from a tricky barrier into a good spot behind the main speed. He let down well and found the line strongly for his first go at 1400m, and even ran a class record of 1:22.4mins which is a sharp time for this grade of horse. James thinks he has a bright future in Singapore and might make a nice stayer further down the line. He's pulled up fine with no issues and will have a quiet week before going back to work. We're looking at a 1400m race for him sometime mid-March.
