Upcoming runners: Friday 17 February and Sunday 19 February 2017

Friday 17 February 2017

SUCCESSION
Race 8: Class 4 - 1600m

Horse no: 8
Time: 9.50 PM
Jockey: M NUNES (52.5kg)

Rip Van Winkle (IRE) x Royal Ambition (NZ) 4yo gelding. He came through last week's barrier trial very well and seems in decent form. He's had some nice easy work this week just to keep him ticking over. We've drawn a nice inside barrier with barrier 2 and we're keeping to his usual pattern - get back in field, relax, and come back with a strong run. James thinks the 1600m will suit him and he looks a decent chance based on his previous start.

Sunday 19 February 2017

BRISTOL DIAMOND
Race 1: Kranji Stakes D - 1200m
Horse no: 5
Time: 12.40 PM
Jockey: D BEASLEY (52.5kg)

Sakhee's Secret (GB) x Sparkling Promise (GB) 4yo gelding. James has been pleased with his recent work, he did a good jump out on Saturday morning and he's come through that well. Danny has been pleased with the way he's felt during the week's work. We've got a nice inside barrier in 2 and he has shown good gate speed over his previous race (1000m) so hopefully he'll jump well and put himself into a nice forward position. James thinks the extra 200m in this race should help and he looks a nice chance on Sunday.

BRAHMA CIRCUS
Race 3: Class 3 - 1600m

Horse no: 1
Time: 1.40 PM
Jockey: APP Y SALIM -3kg (57.5kg)

Darci Brahma (NZ) x State Circus (GB) 5yo gelding. He looks well and is bright around the stable. He's come through Saturday's fast work well; Apprentice Y Salim was happy with the way he felt. App Salim takes off 3kg so we get in with a nice light 54kg. He's drawn barrier 7 of 8 which James is not too worried about as his usual pattern is to get back. We hope to come out quietly, run behind the main speed and get into clear galloping room, and hopefully finish off well.
