Race 5: Kranji Stakes A - 1200m
Horse no: 2
Time: 8.20 PM
Jockey: V DURIC (56.5kg)
Snitzel (AUS) x Ditas (NZ) 5yo horse. He's come through last week's barrier trial very well and looks great. He did a nice piece of work with a partner earlier this week. We have a nice enough barrier in barrier 5 and we'll see how he jumps and leave it up to Vlad (Duric). Without the headgear he's been a lot easier to settle. There would be improvement to come fitness-wise from this run - as a 5yo bull he does take a lot more to get fit first time out but he'll hopefully do himself justice. We're looking forward to the Sprint Series in a month or so.
Race 7: Open Benchmark 74 - 1400m
Horse no: 9
Time: 9.20 PM
Jockey: K A'ISISUHARI (52.5kg)
Charge Forward (USA) x Mozambique (AUS) 3yo gelding. He looks terrific at the moment and is in great condition. He's improved fitness-wise from his first-up run. He jumps from barrier 1 on Friday and Harry Kasim gives us a nice light weight of 52.5kg. We should be able to get lead upfront and if Harry can dictate the race, Macarthur will be a good solid chance. We're looking forward to seeing him up to 1400m for the first time.
Race 8: Open Benchmark 67 - 1200m
Horse no: 1
Time: 9.50 PM
Jockey: V DURIC (57kg)
Darci Brahma (NZ) x State Circus (GB) 5yo gelding. Happy with his condition, he's been working nicely on the training track and in good form - he's improved after his first-up run a few weeks back. We've drawn a nice enough barrier in 4, and on paper the race looks like it has good speed which should suit him. If we get some clear galloping room up the home straight he'll hopefully finish off the race well.
