THE ODDS
Race 2: Initiation - 1200m

Horse no: 1
Time: 7.20 PM
Jockey: V DURIC (57.5 kg)

Casino Prince (AUS) x Port of Africa (AUS) 4yo gelding. He's in good condition going into tomorrow's race; he's worked nicely during the week. Unfortunately, he's drawn a tricky barrier in barrier 11. On paper there doesn't seem to be too much speed in the race - if we get some luck in running he'll have a nice chance.

MR HOPKINS
Race 4: Open Maiden - 1600m

Horse no: 7
Time: 8.20 PM
Jockey: V DURIC (57.5 kg)

Mastercraftsman (IRE) x Ruby Rouge (NZ) 4yo gelding. He's come through his last start run very well and James is happy with him. He's drawn nicely in barrier 3 and with his race experience now he should be able to jump well and travel close to the speed. He should be able to get into a nice position and stepping up to the 1600m will suit. If he builds on his last run he hopefully he'll be right in the finish.

JULIUS CAESAR
Race 7: Class 3 - 1200m

Horse no: 6
Time: 9.50 PM
Jockey: A MUNRO (53 kg)

I Am Invincible (AUS) x Rivers Secret (AUS) 4yo gelding. He's come through his last start well and has been working nicely on the training track. He's drawn a bit awkwardly in barrier 10 and would need a bit of luck in running. If Alan is positive from the gate and gets into a good spot with some luck he should run a nice race.

MADE IN CHINA
Race 8: Class 4 - 1400m

Horse no: 6
Time: 10.20 PM
Jockey: V DURIC (55 kg)

Red Arrow (AUS) x Lassetoile (AUS) 4yo gelding. He's holding his form well and is in good condition. He's drawn a nicely in barrier 4 for tomorrow's race. The race looks to have some nice speed which might suit him. If he gets into a forward spot with some cover the 1400m might suit him better and hopefully he'll run a good race.

Sunday 08 October 2017

KING OF WAR
Race 4: Maiden - 1100m
Horse no: 3
Time: 2.25 PM
Jockey: M NUNES (56.5 kg)

Exceed and Excel (AUS) x Charmview (AUS) 4yo gelding. He's in very good form at the moment and has worked well. Unfortunately he's drawn a little awkwardly in barrier 8 but he has blinkers on for the first time which should sharpen him up a bit. The race on paper doesn't look to be too strong and hopefully he'll run a good race.

BRAHMA CIRCUS
Race 8: Class 3 - 1400m
Horse no: 5
Time: 4.40 PM
Jockey: M NUNES (55 kg)

Darci Brahma (NZ) x State Circus (GB) 6yo gelding. He's in really good order and looks terrific. He's drawn nicely in barrier 1 on Sunday. If he begins well and travels nicely he should be just behind the main speed. Stepping up to 1400m will suit him - his fitness levels are good. If he runs to his last start performance he should be a nice chance.

GRAN TORINO
Race 10: Class 4 - 1200m
Horse no: 5
Time: 5.45 PM
Jockey: O PLACAIS (56 kg)

Bel Esprit (AUS) x Final Act (USA) 4yo gelding. He's come through last week's barrier trial very well and has worked nicely on the training track. He's drawn barrier 7 which isn't too bad. There are a few horses in the race who have good speed and like to lead. Stepping up to 1200m will help; if he relaxes and gets into some clear room up the straight he should finish off strongly.
